About Us
To Reduce Crashes, Injuries, and Fatalities
The WVCHSP is part of the WV Governor's Highway Safety Program and consists of McDowell, Mercer, Monroe, Summers, and Wyoming Counties in West Virginia. Our goal is to reduce traffic crashes, injuries, and fatalities in our region by providing education in car safety, traffic safety information, and by supporting traffic law enforcement.

We periodically offer education classes on installing Child Passenger Safety Seats, and give presentations to local organizations about highway safety topics upon request. Contact us below for more information!

While not every crash is 100% preventable; taking responsible steps while you are driving help increase your chances of surviving. By buckling up, putting down your phone, watching your lane, and keeping a safe speed - you are being a responsible driver!
